Kick Off Meeting & Guest Speaker: Kristen Bury

Kristen Bury Guest Speaker

We invited all women and men in computing to attend our first event of the 2019-2020 year where we had our guest speaker, Kristen Bury.

Attendees heard Kristen Bury share her career, the Artemis program and NASA’s plans to send the first woman and next man on the moon.

In July 2019, we celebrated NASA’s 50th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 Moon mission- First Human Landing on the Moon! We were excited to have Kristen share her experiences! This event was free to attend.

The event was held at:
University of Toledo
Nitschke Technology Commercialization Complex (building # 1510)
Thomas & Elizabeth Brady Engineering Innovation Center (Located on 1st floor)

This event was hosted jointly by the NWO ACM-W Professional Chapter and the UT ACM-W Student Chapter. Because of these joint efforts, our organization was featured on the ACM SIGGRAPH Chapters Website.
